Maker Power(tm) is an ecosystem of small USB enabled modules that accept USB power and provide multiple voltages out. Most voltages are fixed and regulated outputs, +/- ADJ, 12VDC, 5.0VDC, 3.3VDC, 2.5VDC and 1.8VDC. Some modules also provide a filtered version of VUSB. Other modules in the ecosystem provide
The USB Power Modules are small power modules that accepts USB power and provide multiple voltages out. Most voltages are fixed and regulated outputs, +/- ADJ, 12VDC, 5.0VDC, 3.3VDC, 2.5VDC and 1.8VDC. Some modules also provide a filtered version of VUSB.
The USB Power 3LDO is a small power module that accepts USB power and provides four voltages. Three of these voltages are fixed and regulated outputs, 3.3VDC, 2.5VDC and 1.8VDC. The fourth voltage is a filtered version of VUSB provided by the USB power supply.
The USB Power DC-DC is a small power module that accepts USB power and provides four voltages. All of these voltages are fixed and regulated outputs, %.0VDC, 3.3VDC, 2.5VDC and 1.8VDC.
The USB Power 12V is a small power module that accepts USB power and provides three voltages. All three of these voltages are fixed and regulated outputs, 12VDC, 5.0VDC and 3.3VDC.
These modules provide voltage/current monitoring/logging through a USB port to a PC or over Bluetooth to an Android phone/tablet. The Power Monitors (USB and Bluetooth) will directly connect to the USB Power Modules to allow you to monitor the voltage and current in real time. The logging feature will allow you to log voltage and current from any source under 20VDC.
The Power Monitor is a small monitor module that plugs in between the USB Power Modules and your application. The USB connection provides a constant reading of the voltage and current on all of the voltages (12VDC, 5VDC or VUSB, 3.3VDC, 2.5VDC and 1.8VDC). The PC program provides all the control functions and will keep a record of the voltage and current. The module also has a 32Mbit memory on board for operating in the stand alone mode. Power comes from the Port 1 connection. You can record up to 65000 records, which is over 18 hours at a 1 second rate. There is an optional BT connection for controlling the monitor. We provide the API for both USB and BTLE so that you can create your own custom applications.
The Power Chassis is a frame that holds up to four USB Power Modules. With multiple terminal blocks, the ability to power one or multiple projects simultaneously are limitless. You can record up to 65000 records, which is over 18 hours at a 1 second rate. Power comes from the USB connection or the 5V Port connection. There is an optional BTLE connection for controlling the monitor. The PC program and the API are identical to the Power Monitor Module, the software will recognize which device is connected and display the port data appropriately.
These are specialized modules that are used by Makers to charge batteries, power Brick creations, measure temperature, etc.
The Dual LiPO Charger will charge two LiPO batteries at the same time. The charge current is settable from 50mA up to 600mA (see Data Sheet for restrictions). The module can be used connected to a USB port and have interactive control of the charging process. Or the charging currents can be downloaded into the module and used connected only to a USB power source.
The USB Brick Power is a small power module that accepts USB power and provides three voltages. The main voltage is 9VDC to run your Lego Power Function motors. The switch on the side will reverse the 9VDC for changing the direction of the motor. Additionally VUSB and 3.3VDC are provided. This module will also plug into the MyMakerTools Brick controller and power it.
TDust is is a small module to monitor the temperature in your Maker projects. The app provides all the control functions for a T-Dust device. This includes displaying in Fahrenheit or Centigrade, setting the data rate, recording to internal memory and placing the device in the power down collection mode. The module has a 32Mbit memory on board for recording temperature data. The app will chart the temperature data on the mobile device or convert to a CSV file for download. The module can record for over 120 hours at a 1 second rate. The device is powered by either a 16mm coin cell (approximately 24 hours) or an external 3.6VDC to 5.5VDC source.
This accessory has three functions:
1. Adapts the 12V USB Power Module to the small Power Monitor.
2. Acts a mini chassis for the 12V USB Power Module by using the wire plugin connectors.
3. Acts a generic input for the small Power Monitor using the wire plugin connectors.
This accessory functions as a mini chassis for the 3LDO and the DC-DC USB Power Module by using the wire plugin connectors. Provides a flexible connection scheme for those situations where the standard header is not appropriate.
This accessory functions as an adapter for the Dual LiPO battery charger module. It provides a plugin connector for each charger for connecting batteries with bare wires. Additionally there are standard JST connectors that can be used to plugin the batteries directly.
This accessory connects directly to the Brick USB Power Module and then to most Lego Motors. Or you can extend the cable by using any standard Lego motor cable.
